First post of 2020

I hope you are having a great start to 2020. I’ve finally got around to writing a blog post! This one is about how I feel about my old comic book work from the last five years.

The Vild miniseries has been going since 2015, life makes it not possible to move faster than one book a year. I look back at the first 2 issues, and I have mixed emotions about them. I can see the journey my art has been on, and, how much better my recent work is in comparison. I also know that if I hadn’t made those early issues, I wouldn’t have improved. I believe the Vild story builds with each issue, in issue one and two I was still feeling out the universe, issue 3 onwards the direction becomes more set. I am proud of where the comic book is right now, and I’m often tempted to re draw the first two issues, I will re draw a few select pages when I make the Kickstarter later in the year. The next projects will be a Cyan one-shot book, and then a new Vild team book (name TBC). All I can say, if you haven’t read Vild yet, you will see the story improve as the story unfolds. And, I believe it is a journey worth taking.
